Boy she has my sympathy!! It was Thanksgiving last year when I broke my right wrist  It's been a year and I'm still not 100% I love my orthopedic surgeon!! That guy was amazing! I had external screws and a funky titanium bar. Now I have a real attractive scar on top of my right hand and a matching one on the right arm :( But hey! At least I still have it and I can use it. It is VERY hard to take care of yourself one-handed!

Oldest daughter went to the Ortopedic Dr today and turns out the break isn't what the 'Doc in a Box'
x-ray technician told her it was. He said he hasn't heard of a tech at one of those places being able to accurately read an x-ray yet. I won't give the name but it's one of those pseudo clinics where you can go after hours when your Dr. has closed the office for the day or weekend.

It is the Radius that is involved, a chip broken off near her wrist and the Ulna is perfectly okay.

She has a removeable cast on that she will wear most all of the time, but can take off for therapy exercises and to do some things around the house.

No surgery involved tho, thank goodness and thanks to all of you for the healing thoughts and vibes I think they have worked ;)

Just the news we wanted to hear Toni. Now I hope your daughter's physiotherapist can help her and that she'll soon be able to dispense of the cast and be back to normal.

Well Toni--this is a whole different kettle of fish.
I am sorry that you guys had the un-necessary shock of the ulnar Fx scare.

See--perhaps cyber "healing thoughts" DO work in a strange sort of way. ;)
