Thank you so much for the warm welcome everyone. Delighted to have found a friendly forum. Yes, zone 7a is a MAJOR improvement. I had pretty much given up on perennials in 3A and just concentrated on things inside. Now I can grow stuff. Of course, we had to spend some time deer-proofing our 2 acres. That took a couple of years to be absolutely sure they couldn't get in anymore. I'm glad to see a few Canadians. I'll be offering some stuff for trade or giveaway, and shipping is easier within Canada. I'll ship anywhere, but I can't guarantee safe arrival in foreign countries. Hi to Alabama, Idaho, Switzerland, Scotland, Ireland, Texas, Mexico and everyone else.
Hi Seawitch, welcome to GardenStew from hot and dry north central Texas. Glad to have you join us. I think I would gladly change from zone 8a to 3 but have no desire to go hotter.
Hi Seawitch, welcome to Gardenstew from Chelmsford MA. Indeed you have found the friendliest garden group on the internet. Welcome aboard. Jerry
