    YAY! Welcome back!
I've given up trying to catch up on everything going on after a long weekend away, I can't imagine trying to keep track of everything.
I'm a radical non-supporter of Mr. Gates myself. Strictly a Mac person. I would be lost trying to figure out Vista!

I really don't see that much difference in XP and Vista.I'm sure people who really dig into them may but I am not one of those so far I haven't had a problem.

Hello Glenda, nice to finally meet you. I feel for ya, last December we lost power here for 6 days and didn't have internet for 12. More emails than I ever want to see again!

I'm glad to meet you fish_4_all.I knew how it felt as we were out for 6 days when Hurricane Ike came through.I think it was worse then as
I have all electric and that made it really bad.I couldn't cook except the
thing I rigged up with candles and heated canned food to go with the meat we cooked on the grill.I couldn't even
iron clothes :)I'm so glad I'm back home at the Stew.

It is amazing how much you can heat with candles!

Glad things are back to normal.

I have Vista on my desktop computer and was worried about it when I got it, I had sworn I didnt want it that I wanted XP but i couldnt buy a new computer without having Vista. I took to it very quickly the only thing I do not like about it is it is very resource hungry and I need a ready boost stick to make it run better. I had 2GB to start with and with ready boost now have 3GB ram to use ideally for Vista 4GB is the best to run it with but that is costly.

I had Vista with 2GB RAM installed and it was even sluggish then. Now I have installed Ubuntu/Linux and I have never seen it use over 1GB of RAM at any one time. Love it :) Could be a bit techy for most though.

Welcome back, Glenda! I missed your posts. I'm with you, Frank, Vista can be a bit techy. Initially it fought with some older programs when we first used it but we seem to have worked some of the bugs out.

We had a problem with Panda (our anti virus program) when we started using Vista. We had to uninstall our anti virus and reinstall but it took some playing around to make it work. Good luck.
