    Sjoerd_- No guarantees on the weather! Mother Nature really let us have it that evening, No storms in the near future forecast, but who knows? One good thing though- the insurance company is paying for a new roof and gutters!:smt041

    I have set out some inexpensive hosta's this year, and already they have had some attention from the slugs. Like a knee-jerk reaction out went a yoghurt beeker with beer.
    I wonder if the plague of slugs will be diminished there.

    That's great that the insurance company is going to pay for the repairs to your house. Hopefully there will be no more hail storms.

    Hi. I am a great Hosta fan and have always found them to be as tough as anything. Their natural growth increase should produce further new foliage so care for them and perhaps tidy up/remove worst battered foliage gradually as this happens ?. All hopefully will be well next season. These comments intended to cheer you up - can well understand your feelings.
