Cayuga morning...I could be better, I think. I get lazy during the winter. It takes stamina I think, more than anything. Day after day after day. day in and day out. I was dreading the season this year knowing how much work it was going to be, but I have persevered and am right back into the day after day after day all day long all week long. I need my day of rest on Sunday.

Ronni, It is just what I/we do. Thanks. I told you I had plenty to keep you busy if you needed it. see why?

Carolyn, The day my kids move out, I am camping in your garden! It seems like veggie lover's paradise to me. It's amazing how you manage everything perfectly! What I have learnt from my little experience is that it takes more than just hard work to outsmart those pesky bugs and grow beautiful plants. Well done :setf_016:

Oh, thank you GF. It is a lot of hard sweaty work, nice weather and more work, the Blessing from above, borrowing tricks and tried and true ideas from other people and some learning the hard way, too. There are failures to be had and seen, but who wants to see those...speaking of which was my cauliflower this year...

I find Cauliflowers, broccoli and Brussels sprouts most difficult to grow. In fact I am trying them for the past three Springs and they never form head, the plant itself however keeps growing and takes all the space in the garden. Perhaps our spring gets too hot for them, I should try them in Fall and see if it works. That's the fun part of gardening, one never stops learning. There is always something new that I learn each season either from my own mistakes or from other's success!

Broccoli and cabbage are no problem...cauliflower? It bolts before it forms a head or there are leaves growing right through the head. it looks awful.
