Mart, if you don't have a stick blender (or immersion blender), now is the time to buy one. I love mine. It makes quick work of saucing tomatoes and making tomato juice. Oh, and you can make mayonnaise in about one and a half minutes.
I make homemade spaghetti sauce and freeze it. Then I just reheat straight from the freezer any time I need it.
I have a couple of stick blenders as well as a few other time savers. I have all sauces made and in the freezer. Thank Heavens. Getting tired !
