    now I see why a bushel basket is nowhere close to how many fruits the tree is producing. That is a tiny tree. You have done a great job growing it.

    The Bonanza is a dwarf, but can get up to 6 foot tall. I'm trying to convince my brother that it needs to be in the ground instead of that pot. He read that it was good for a container and wanted to go that route so he could protect it over the winter. I tried telling him that it was hardy for our zone and would go dormant over the winter anyhow. But... you know how stubborn dragons can be. :stew2:
    I'll keep working on him... sent him photos of the ripe fruit bragging about how juicy they were and how wonderful it would be to even have more of them so I could make cobbler. :-D

    Well, If you can get him to plant it in the ground, he will get more production out of it, but make sure it is staked if he allows you to plant it in the ground. the dwarf rootstock is notorious for being poorly anchored and will blow over in a storm.
