Slf: if your using the filters-the way I do it (in my picture) cut the filter in half, dampen it, put the seeds on 1/4 of the bag because I fold it over, slide the dampened filter inside the bag and Then I fold the opening under (no air inside)(the seeds should not touch the bag)if you have any more questions you can p.m. me and I'll try to give more specific instructions. Let me know if this helps.

Petunia - I got hollyhocks seeds just to try out this method. And I can see a little white root(?) coming out of the seeds just 3 days later. WOW!!
I have a question though - can you tell me when I should put these seeds in the soil?
    Thanks so much.
    Tina.

Very cool Tina. I have to think this method works twice as fast. Sometimes it may depend on how many seeds you've got in your baggy. But I would let the root get just a little longer so that when you do plant it in soil it'll have a good root system going. Thanks for trying this method. Glad it worked for you.

    Thanks for the reply,Petunia.
I will wait a while longer before planting them in soil. This is definitely the method for germination of seeds from now onfor me.
    Thanks again.
