Hi Philip! Great to see the girls again! Molly looks so happy to be near the water (and mud) You do take such good care of Hudson, she's a sweet old girl. I miss my Missy (((sigh)))
Hi Kay, i know full well you are still feeling sad over "Missy",..and she will never be gone from your memory,..its a long time to have a pet,..though a short life for them in our years,..did you make up a slide show with all the pictures of "Missy" or would you like one of those photo stories with music that i make,..let me know,..i think i have about 13 pictures of "Missy". Hi Hank, it gets me likewise,..when i compare now to what she was like only last year,..such a change,..its mostly sleeping where Hudson is concerned and when she is up and about she gets confused even going out through the back door,..all the signs of Senile Dementia,.. however she is eating well but not showing it,..she got thinner. She is now 17 years plus 6 months.
Hi Deanna, she is a constant worry these days and that's not an exaggeration,..from walking into things to getting wrapped up in something,..getting lost in the garden then roaring out loud in panic,..then there is the several times per week bed change,..still its Hudson and i can remember the good days. Video===Hudson,..made in November 2010.
Philip- it is hard to see our much loved pets get to the place where we know they will soon not be with us. I know what you are going threw as I have gone threw the same thing many times with my past beloved dogs. They become so much more to us than just a pet. They become family and are forever in our hearts like you had said. Yes we do have our fond memories of the good days with them. That's a great video of Hudson.
Hi Philip, My heart goes out to your old girl Hudson. She is so graceful in her senior yrs. Bless her heart,(and yours) and I hope she has only calm, restful days. Molly looks a touch sad in the picture, perhaps it is making her feel sad too?
Hi Tooty2shoes, yes very hard to see the decline and knowing time is running out,..every day i have to keep calm when accidents happen indoors but you just look at Hudson and realize she wasnt fully aware what was happening,..as you mentioned that you have gone down this road several times yourself i know that you understand. ==================================================== Hi Kay, you are right about Molly,..she does see what is happening but always thinks that she will get the blame,..she almost freezes until she is sure i know she is blameless,..oh i have started to make up a photo story of Molly,..coming soon, lol.
Molly does look so happy to be in the water. Sad to see our pets age. Sorry Hudson is slowing so much.
Hi Carolyn, water, and food, once Molly has those then she is a happy dog,..its just after 0300 in the morning here,..i had to get up to let Hudson out, .
I have been where you are and it hurt just looking back at so many lost friends .I love Molly's happy smiles such a happy girl I loved the video of Hudson M little Oreo is growing old like his mom.He was 10 months old when he was give to me.I've had him 9 years. He is my wonderful little buddy.I would really miss him if anything would happen to him.
Hi Glenda, little Orea is a character,..its good that you are growing old together,..i know that Hudson has passed me out by 43 years,..of course its me that's the grumpy one . ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden )
