    Hi Kay,
i wonder does Missy have a longing to get into the water?,a day out for Molly is wherever there is water, she sometimes jumps overboard when i slow down, and will swim to the shore, the only problem is Swans,i tend to panic when she is swimming close to them, they would drown her,so when i remember, i tie Molly up in the boat.

Phillip- Oh, your photos of Molly remind me so much of Missy at our lake in her younger days! She loved to swim and slog around on the shore chasing frogs. She would spend hours out there, and come back completely filthy! :D She never cared! :D When we took the canoe out to fish, she would have to be shut up in the cabin yard, so we could venture out without her following.
Alas, Missy is getting pretty old (12 1/2) and has really slowed down. She sleeps so much now. She is such a good girl, but it really gets poignant; having dogs (and all pets) because you know you will probably have to let them go...She is a graceful old gal, we completely spoil her, and will love her till the end. We do have so many good and funny memories of her at our lake Herkimer!
    I love seeing Molly's photos!

Nice-looking dog, mate! She is a real beauty and it is easy to see that she is as happy as can be there.
Did you catch anything that day?

    Hi Kay,
Missy and Molly have the same traits, water, mud, checking everything out and coming back to me like she had a mud bath, all i can do is laugh, because she seems to laugh as well, .
Hudson is now like Missy, sleeping more often than being awake,i often sneak Molly out for a walk and return without Hudson waking, some mornings i panic thinking Hudson has passed away in her sleep, but touch wood she is still there after 16 years,i know it is only a matter of time, but i dread it.

    Hi Sjoerd,
a very heavy dog to lift into the boat, then add a wet dog to that as well, the last day i weighed her she was 4 Stone and 3 Pounds,(27Kg),far too heavy.
Ah yes Fish,i did well that day, shore fished for Pike, average size, :) .
