Thanks Mart, I'll keep that in mind. Got my fish guts from my fishmonger just awhile ago and got them buried in the bed. Hope the neighbor hood cats would not cause me any problem. Always wonder why these people want to rear cats but do not want to care for them!!!
KK, sprinkle HOT pepper or lime (not citrus limes, use garden lime) on the beds... maybe that will deter them they don't like the effect of either on their feet or in their noses.
Thanks Carolyn, I buried them about 6~8 inches deep and spread all over the bed. So far so good, no cats and smell. Mart are you talking about the fish guts? I just wanted about 500gms which is about slightly more than a pound but I got 5 kilos from the fishmonger. I used about 500gms yesterday and left the rest in the freezer which someone is not too happy about it! Anyway I used up the rest this morning and I smell kind of a fishy now.
You are welcome KK, I hope you at least start getting some kind of crops, I think Mart was referring to the fertilizer, it comes in 50# bags here. Your little bag looks pretty little.
Yes I was talking about the fertilizer. Only fish guts I use come from our catfish pond and I have not went fishing since last fall.
