Injured Morning Dove,

    Wow those are some well trained rabbits. I wish I could do that with the rabbits we have around here. The only thing they have been taught is that you can't get into the garden when there is a fence in your way. :-D :stew1:

    You have been such a help to the dove...maybe after he gets some strength back he will join the others............

    Thanks Sherry8. Actually the dove gets around quite well for only having the use of one leg. I will even see it in my feeder out front which is off the ground. As long as it can fly in and do a belly flop landing. Then it just lays there and eats to it's hearts content. I to am glad to see it adjusting so well with only one leg. Those animals are so resilient. :stew1:

    Since mourning doves are ground feeders anyway and it has a bit of protection at your house,, it should do fine. Glad you are helping it !

    Yuppy. It is doing super. I see it all the time. It even tries to sit on the edge of the raised bird bath. But hasn't quite mastered the balance on one leg and get a drink of water thing. But it is getting better every time I see it at balancing it self. It even has learned how to hop on it's one leg. :stew1:
