Hi Eileen,CM,Netty,Cari-ann,all. Firstly thanks to all for the kind birthday wishes, had the usual quiet day but pleasant - quite a bit of it though talking to my PC and making unkind suggestions as to its ancestry (ref the problems) - nuff said. Again we see that amongst other things we all have some mutual interests and hobbies that centre around gardening and the outdoor, wildlife etc. Walking is very popular, good healthy exercise and also if you are inclined provides an ideal opportunity to get the camera cracking. I never walk without one - usually with a good zoom lens but often also a general one say 18-55. One lens I have is a hefty thing but is range 50 - 500 so can take closer as well as good distant ones - mind by the time it has been hiked around for an hour or two your arms know all about it - better on a tripod really. Be nice to bring photography and our cameras, lens etc etc more into our chats. Ref genealogy have always had an interest but never got seriously at it though other family members have - with the name Smith its a vast area to cover - will look with interest at the web sites suggested. So we all make the best use of our spare time and get relaxation where we can - sounds good to me. Thanks again. Syd.
Yes that is true. My parents are master gardeners, it runs in the family. They have been planting crops for the past 10 years. I have so many interests (and books to accompany them all) that I could not begin to even tell you. moderator's note: removed double posting see point 3.6 of usage rules
