Super irises, Droopy. You have a light blue one as well. It is gorgeous. You sound pretty knowledgeable about iraies. Do you specialize in them per chance?

No, I don't. I just like them. The earliest one I've got is Iris "Kathrine Hodgkin", she's a bulb. She's already poked her head up, but won't bloom yet I hope.

Your Iris looks so good. I love the one that is somewhat maroon. I planted a few for this season and can't wait to see them in bloom. I wanted the deep blue kind, but won't know if I really like it until it blooms. The pics were new to me so thanks for sharing.

I took these pictures the day before I left Heathers last May 19th. It was raining as I took the pictures. These are the most unusual color irises I have ever seen and I sure brought some back with me.Now lets hope they bloom for me.If anyone knows the name of them please tell me so I can tell Hether as they are all over her back yard.

Gorgeous bloom, Glendann! That really is an unusual colour. I don't know what they're called.

Wrennie...the deep purple are a shorter variety. All of the other ones are full sized. If iris would last all season I would have more of them...I love the variegated leaves on some of the varieties....of course I love variegated leaves on any type of plant.

I love all the colors...now I want every color after seeing all the other beautiful ones..

Droopy...those are gorgeous...I wish they bloomed all summer. I did have some rebloomers at the other house but I think I only have one here...

I've never seen either white or yellow Irises before; they're one of my favourite plants too. I tried some of the minature ones here for the first time and they were really delicate.
