I was thinking the same thing, Netty.
It looks like it was made to be there.

Very inviting! :D I've got to get something to sit outside in when it's raining.

We worked off and on all summer chalking, insulating (with so much single pane glass I'm not sure why) and using floor underlayment for walls and finished/sealed flooring. Then it all got painted and varnished (except for the front wall/door that had runner beans for instant summer shade).

Since I suffer significantly from SAD I love reading out there, and have helped with the decorating. Hubby still thinks it is his cigar shack. :D

Since it is only 8 feet x 8 feet on the exterior walls it is really a compact little structure. Basically just 4 square meters. It is really hard to photo because of the closeness of the space. With the help of a stitch app here is what the almost finished shed looks like. Today I may get the clematis plants into the ground at the corners for that summer shade..

My husband also loves your (so-called) shed. I had to show it to him. Now here's hoping he'll be inspired enough to make us one next year.

Thanks all for the kind comments. Living with rain in comfort is sooo nice. The little propane heater will make it comfy during the winter and I can get my fix of vitamin D in a dry, sunny space. :-D David can stay dry too.

You are right on John. Tin roof to hear the rain, smell of cigars, just missing the kitchen, but it's close to the barbeque. :D

What a lovely little house you have made for yourself, Jewell.
I like everything about it...what's NOT to like.

You have everything--plenty of light, nice decor, plenty of room and such a good placement in your garden.

I know from experience that you are going to spend loads of time in there and it will become used more and more. You may even set up bird feeders outside so that you can observe them whilst you sit nice and warm and dry inside.
You could also construct a small pergola on one side to sit under if the summer sun becomes too warm to sit inside. Oh miss--the possibilities are endless.

BTW--tell me about the Clematises. Did you get different coloured ones? Ones that bloom at different times of the year? Ones with small as well large flowers? What were the names of the ones that you wound up getting?

You did such a good job with that house....your pied-à-terre.
