Thank you one and all for your very nice... and meaningful (to me) birthday wishes. I had not seen them yesterday before I shut down the compi for the day and thought that I had slipped under the radar...but I did not escape the ever-vigil Mr Sullivan.

While a birthday is no big deal for me, seeing all the well-wishes on here really was heart-warming for me.

We had a great day and evening here. There were fone calls in the day time and evening, flowers, small gifts and visits. The whole thing culminated in a little "party" here at home for a handful guests.
I offered tart and coffee/tea and then later salty things and drinks and finally heated little mini-snacks. That was the sign that it the evening was at an end. Everyone was gone bu 02:00 and I could do some basic clean-up and then finally I could go on one ear. I slept hard and enjoyed that first cuppa tea this morning from tea that I got as a gift. It was Yorkshire tea (my fav).

Well, it is nearly midday now and I must complete my list for seeds and things which I shall turn-in this evening at the annual general membership meeting for our gardening complex. Looking forward to that.

The bride is getting fidgitty in the background and making noises with the paper....I think that it ios time to get a move-on.

Since every well-wish took time and thought and the trouble to actually type and send--The messages have a special meaning to me. I am very grateful. Thank you again.

BTW, I've not heard the expression: 'go on one ear'. I like it.

Thanks a lot MART-- I really appreciate your kind wishes. yes, it was a fun day all day. We do not do a lot with gifts on a birthday, just simple little funny things or flowers. The most of the thought is centred on talking and munching on snacks. I really enjoy the chatting.

CAYUGA--I also sometimes say that I am going to go sit on my shoulder blades for the same thing.

Ha-ha...KK--never too late. There is still one piece of cake and chippies left.
