It is a problem. What about using the same counter material as a 4 " backsplash but extending it up in the area around your stove? Is it granite or some other material? Kats, I wouldn't recommend using marble behind your stove. It absorbs grease. You can't clean it out.
Sorry. I got nothing more. Have you looked at all those kitchen magazines? Or kitchen design books? I get them from the library...cheaper
