    Wrennie, your evening primrose patch is delightful!

    Sherry, no, they are just greyish green, but the leaves are quite decorative on their own.

    Thanks for sharing. We have a low-growing native mint that grows in wooded areas around our home. It's one of my favorite plants to find each spring...we bite the leaves and enjoy the flavor.

    Well, I did finally find a couple of fotos of the taller Oenotheras, both sorts.
    I did say that they weren't really good ones, in terms of showing the "special" colour, but don't you like those big, floppy petals?

    Kaseylib, I hope you'll manage to find and photograph it this summer? If I can't enjoy the taste, I can at least enjoy the sight of it.

    Thank you Sjoerd! I like the glow in pic # 2. Your pinkish cream one looks gorgeous. I tried a similar once, but it couldn't take the winter.

    I get slightly aggressive when the nurseries sell plants not winter hardy and fail to inform us.
