    Thanks all.

SongofJoy, an allotment is a piece of land that we rent from the council, or in our case, a charity, and you normally grow fruits and vegetables on it. I also grow a few flowers.

Thank you for enlightening me . . . then, I think it is the same thing as what Sjoerd was telling me that a lottie was. That sounds like a very good system . . . I wish we had something like that here. Are there a lot of rules and regulations regarding planting?

SongofJoy, yup, we call them lotties also. I love my lottie. On our site there really aren't any rules and regs as it is a small site with maybe only 20 plots. We don't have piped water or facilities which some of the larger, more organised sites have, but it is my little bit of heaven. I am going tomorrow so hopefully will have a host of pictures to post.

Deanna, nope, no vits for me, I just try to eat my 5 a day and keep out in the fresh air for as long as possible. It seems to do the trick.

EJ, I was so pleased when your name popped up on here again. I was just recently wondering how you and your lovely family were. :)
