Toni, I didn't sew the straps on with the sewing machine, altho I did edge the straps with it. I sewed it on just using the big buttons and wool - I thought that cotton might cut through the plastic and after all my hard work knitting it, I didn't want to chance it. Glad you all like it - mum, sis and auntie want one now....only problem is, I don't have any carriers left as I have been using my bag for life bags for a while now and those were just the few I had left!
And tonight I knocked this up for Jessica. It is only about 10 inches wide, knitted as a continuous rectangle, sewn up the sides with wool then the strap was knitted and sewn on with the same wool. Just a bit of fun.
Jessica is going to be so proud going out with her handmade designer bag!! You have a great talent in those hands of yours EJ. If only you lived nearer to me then I could supply you with lots of carrier bags. I'm trying to get rid of them as we don't use them any more. We use eco-friendly ones now.
Awesome, and very useful. The store like you to bring a bag to save the trees. Good girl , I like your style. bali
