Thank you Sjoerd and Netty. The good news is she's being admitted to the hospital on Tuesday. Her operation is scheduled for Wednesday. The bad news is she's really poorly today and can't keep what little food she tries to eat.
Hope everything goes well and she is recovering nicely by this time next week. Her surgery sounds like what I had 3 years ago. I will be thinking about her a lot next Wednesday.
Droopy I'm so glad that your mum is going into hospital. I hope the doctors can build her up a bit before her surgery on Wednesday. I'll be thinking of her, and of course you too, and hoping for a good outcome post op.

Good to hear that her op is just a coupla days away. Do you think that they will operate while she is so weak? I hope that she can perk up a bit before the operation. You are giving her my best wishes regularly, aren't you. I am so sorry that she is feeling poorly...and I really cherish that little Huchera that she gave me. I had a word with it this afternoon and the dainty Huchera asked me to pass on the "Get well soon wishes"...so I am doing this now.
Thanks for your support, it means a lot to me. I hope they'll do the operation and then we'll know what we're dealing with too. If they think she's too weak they'll just have to keep her there and feed her through an IV until she's strong enough. I'm not a nurse and can't do much more than I'm doing now. Sjoerd, of course I do. She enjoyed your visit so much.
So your mum goes in tomorrow then. We really hope that she will feel much better post-op. These are always nervous times, but I am ever the optimist. I have everything crossed.
Hubby had colon cancer so I know where you are at about now. But He is cancer free and I will pray for the same result for your mother. Hopefully hers will be benign and can be removed with no problems !! Prayers your way.

Mother is being operated on today. I'm going to be waiting for the hospital to phone me and probably won't get much done. She was very nervous yesterday of course. We'll just have to wait and see now. Thanks for thinking of us.
