Waiting is one of the hardest things to do but we're all hoping for a good outcome for your mum and you. I'll keep checking in to see if you have any news for us.
Got everything crossed and sending good thoughts your way. Having been through that surgery myself, I know what she is going through.
Thank you all again for your prayers and good thoughts. The surgery went well, but she's in for chemotherapy in six weeks' time and she's not looking forward to that. It's going to be tough for a few months, but this too shall pass.
So glad the surgery went ahead without any problems Droopy. Now you can relax a little while your mum is being looked after in hospital. I know chemotherapy isn't something anyone looks forward to but it may just eliminate any remaining cancer cells and you can both start to look forward to life returning to a more normal routine. Do give your mum our best wishes and tell her we're all rooting for her.
I am thinking about you Droopy & your mother. I hope she heals well and responds well to your encouragement. Best wishes for you all.
I'm glad to hear that he surgery went well and will keep the good thoughts and prayers for complete cure with Chemotherapy.
Thanks so much for the news. Please give her a hug for me and offer her some words of encouragement from us here. We hope that she will slowly bounce back and feel better and better as soon as her body will allow.
Droopy, please tell your mum that there is a whole community of gardeners pulling for her and for you, too. It's difficult for you now, and we sympathize. Take care of yourself.
Glad all went well. Hubby had Chemo and radiation,, two rounds. If you need any tips just PM me. Keeping all in thoughts and prayers.
Keeping you all in my thoughts. It's been almost three years since my surgery, they did Genomic testing on my tumor and determined that mine was not likely to return and it hadn't spread so I didn't need chemo, but I certainly do remember the weeks of tests and waiting between the first surgery and the 'take down' surgery. If you or she need to talk just PM me.
You're the best support group ever! Things have taken a turn for the worse. Her arms are so swollen they had to remove the IV unit and now they can't find any vein to reinsert it into. She's got problems breathing at times and she's wearing a heart monitor. To top it off she's grounded. There's an infection on her floor. Visitors are fitted with shoe covers, gloves and masks. When I visit she throws me out after 10-15 minutes because she gets tired. She's still struggling to eat well. She won't go home and have asked the hospital to apply for rehab with medical care for a few weeks. I have told her that you're all thinking about her. She was amazed at that since she doesn't know you at all. Thank you again, all of you!
Aw honey...I'm so sorry to hear this latest turn of events. Well, we'll just turn up the heat on all those warm thoughts and good mojo, and pray that the swelling goes down, her breathing eases, her appetite increases and the floor infection resolves. Hang in there Droopy. Sometimes these things are harder on the loving children than they are on the parents.
