Very nice all of your set ups...clean and clear cut...we have so many wires on the loose, you would hate it for sure then..not so keen myself either. Take this add on room, I guess it's a small extension, but one wall is all windows one wall has a log burner and one wall joins the property the 4th wall is a window and our main door...there is One Socket..on that there is a three way adaptor. then that joins up to an extension behind the TV set that has a 5 multi sockets which goes around the room to another plug that takes two plugs that joins another plug 4 way socket which joins to another three way socket....lost yet..haha...out of all those there is two spare sockets......need an electrician to sort this,,,,French wiring is different to the UK as it is not a ring main, by the way and no fuses in plugs...
It's quite easy to sort out loose cables. This trunking in different sizes has a sticky back. You can stick it to skirting boards, push the wires in and snap on the cover. It's very cheap 3mtrs for less than £5,
We used some channelling ,very much like this at our Bexhill Home and in this small everyuse room with the one socket it is channelled in but only here... one of the add on extensions is outside the channel...
This trunking keeps the power wires to my piano,its amplifier and the music light. off the floor I've a lot of "kit" under the TV, but you don't notice any of the wires that connect it to my hi-fi in the wall unit next to it. But it's a "snake pit" behind there, with an an adpter with eight sockets, all in use. A lot of wires are in the trunking.
Still neat though...I am a basically a very tidy person but unless we get another electrician in then the wiring is always going to be messy...We had fitted 2 Dimplex intelligent storage heaters fitted by a highly recommended team, because they had to be hard wired, but....take a seat now.. .2849.40 Euros for two we still have one not fitted as decided the bedroom was not the place for one....I think they cost about £500/600 several years ago, so the fitting was a shock..They are pretty good for our situation of an old property as opposed to central heating would cause a lot of pipework around the place..walls have depths averaging 60 cm.... https://www.electricpoint.com/dimplex-quantum-qm100-quantum-storage-heater-1000w-energy-saving.html

Digressing. My brother-in-law's brother did his National Service in the fifties. He has a photograph from when he was serving in Germany. It shows three soldiers in uniform with their arms around each other's shoulders, he and a fellow serviceman from his regiment and a third between them. Elvis Presley. Elvis would be willing have a photograph taken with any fellow soldier.
