What a neat pic, Biita . . . I am so glad your visit went well with your Josh. To tell you the truth . . . I did not even notice the modern things in the picture  . . . I was so enthralled with seeing authentic Viking wear . . . my first time you know. Thank you. My sons will enjoy this pic! ;)

Biita, awesome pic. Can I ask what city the museum is in? My inlaws will be in Norway in about 3 weeks and my FIL would love that place. They are visiting my BIL in County Kerry Ireland and flying from there to Norway. I didn't think to ask which city they fly into. Hopefully, he will remember some Norwegian when he gets there. lol

Hi Flower, I live in Lofoten, on the island of Vestvågøy in the Artic. The museum is called Borg Viking Museet, in the town of Borge. My husband works there, the one with the sword, and the other is my son who was home on leave from the US Army. If you let me know if your in-laws are comming this way, my husband can help them get a really awesome tour of the place. They have tours now, but he can point other things around the place that have just been discovered over winter. Like a bronze age site, more ship burials, and such. If they are just going to the south of Norway, he also knows all the good spots that are off the tourist path.

Ohhh yeah, everyone speaks some english, so it shouldn't be to hard to get by. Its mostly the elderly that can't speak the english language at all. They should be fine if he forgets his Norwegian.

Biita, they are flying into Bergen. That is where my FIL's parents lived before they came to the US. But thank you so much for your offer :) I think that both sets of grandparents did not teach their kids Norwegian or Swedish as they wanted them to be Americanized. Not unusual in the 1940's-50's. I doubt they will starve. My BIL definitely knows how to spot a fishcake from 2 mi away. lol Thanks again.
