Hi Philip, Glad to hear from you. Yes, I agree, yellow plants are like lights in the garden. They pop!
Hi Carolyn, that yellow rose indicates our weather at present,..humid with a heavy mist which is almost invisible to the naked eye. Philip, Our weather is COMPLETELY opposite yours....HOT HOT HOT and HOTTER. Oh, and DRY DRY DRY and DRIER...take your choice of the forecast... :'( I am sure hoping and praying for some rain. One day a couple weeks ago the temperature was 102f and humid. AWFUL! most days here it is in the 90's.
I like the idea of the California poppies hanging!! What a great idea! Like a bright chandelier! I can almost smell that yellow rose!!!
Stratsmom, I agree! Philip, placing the yellow poppies so that they can dangle is a great idea. Carolyn, we have been having a dought in New England as well. I am out with the soaker hoses, and hoping I do not run the well dry. Last night we got rain for the first time in weeks . Philip wasn't it last fall that your area had flood conditions?
Our water runs just about 24/7 here. With an acre of garden or more and doing 4 farmers markets it takes a lot of produce and that takes a lot of water. I worry about our well, too.
Hi Carolyn, it started raining this morning before i got up at 0600 and its still raining tonight at 0940,..15 1/2 hours rain non stop,..and its humid. "Ice Cream",HT Rose. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) =================================================== Hi Deanna, that yellow rose has a great scent in fact the strongest one in the garden,..some hanging California Poppies for you. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) ================================================= Hi Cayuga Morning, sorry to hear you are having a drought,..as i mentioned its raining here for over 15 hours now,..yes you are right we had very high water in the fall and its nearly as bad now,..100.000 acres of land under water as it stands today in my area,..but no problem to me i am on a hill. Philip, I would have a hard time with rain like that. It would get my spirits low. Fortunately your garden seems to be prospering very well, in spite of or maybe because of the rain. Glad to hear you have a sprouted clivia. I have 4 sprouted Brugmansia seedlings that are doing quite well so far.
Hi Annette, thank you for viewing,..glad you liked the pictures. Hydrangea macrophylla,'Endless Summer'. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) =================================================== Hi Cayuga Morning, all that rain for hours on end can give a person Cabin Fever,..i tend to don the wet gear and walk Molly the springer who loves being wet,..oh great to know you have Brugmansia seedlings,..i wish you well there.
