Ahhhhhhhh, I can almost smell it! The hydrangeas, oxalis, columbines, lilies, my favorite wall flower and roses. You have such an eye (and a green thumb!) I love that video. Pink smells sweet and floral, kind of sunny and very fresh & happy. Great job pal!!
Thanks Deanna,..did you get that Variegated Wallflower to grow in your garden?,..i remember you managed to find one in Oregon. Did you notice i posted back a bit the result of the Sweet Pea you sent me,..'Wild Sweet Pea',..pink of course lol. Some No ID roses in bloom today. Fingers crossed for this seedling,..' Chinese Lantern Flower ',..amazing how it just popped up after i mentioned finding the name for my Chile Lantern Tree.
Your garden must, not only. look fantastic and colourful but must smell lovely too. Your roses are gorgeous and way ahead of mine.
Eileen,..its just in the past three days that some of the roses opened up,..i am watching with great interest some new roses i got which i got at the end of last summer,..plus 5 roses from cuttings as well. Mimulus 'Monkey Flower',..is supposed to resemble a Monkeys face,..duh duh,..i don't see it,..anyway it flowers from Spring right through to Autumn,..all it needs is to be kept moist,..a native of North America. General view.
I wish I could hit 'like' 5 times! Love that armeria, very healthy! Goes so well with the pink of the aquilegia. Love the sweet alyssum too.
Thank you Cayuga Morning,..i should spread that Armeria around more in the garden,..at present its on top of a tall container which houses a rose bush,..the idea was to stop the top soil from drying out,..other containers have Sedum performing the same task. Most gardeners have a weed problem to sort out,..well i have very few weeds but what i do have popping up very often are Ferns,..i hate dumping them as there are people buying them from garden centers,..so i do manage to give away quite a few but not as many as i have. European Robin.
Whoa! What a cutie! I have never seen a bird like that this side of the Atlantic. What is it? Love those ferns. I enjoy foliage plants, particularly those with an architectural thing going on.
You are just teasing me with those columbines aren't you??? This evening I found a white, pink and purple Barlow columbine that came from your garden! I'm trying really hard to get a shade garden and I put those seeds there a long, long time ago. I guess I put the cart before the horse but patience has never been my strong point! When I get it finished I'll post a picture. I do love your ferns, wish I was closer, I'd take the babies off your hands (after petting Molly and the cats)
Beautiful garden and beautiful flowers, expecially roses. Ferns look very interesting in your garden.
Wow I'm gonna have to go back and check thru all your thread here. Lots of beautiful stuff and I just skimmed a few pages! What really caught my eye was the euro robins! Its been so long since I saw one. I'm in the US now and their robins are bigger here. Yeah ill have to dig into your thread some more for sure...
Ah that bird is our European Robin,..unlike yours in the US,..first time i seen a US Robin it caused a lot of confusion,..the friend i was with said,..oh look a Robin at the base of that tree,..eh sorry i don't see it,..there its coming along the ground towards us,..nope don't see it,..sheesh your eyes are VERY bad Philip,..it took a while before the message got through that the bird i did see was a US Robin,..while i was expecting to see the bird i knew as a Robin lol,..oh i do like Ferns but not as many as pops up in my garden
Lol Deanna,..those Columbines are all over the garden,..popping up in places they shouldn't be,..at least they look pretty and one never knows what color combination will appear when they cross pillinate,..oh so some of my Columbine started up in your garden,..way to go,..your Oregon Cat has a place all of its own in the middle of my garden
Thank you Anisa,..roses have just begun to bloom of late but within another two weeks the scent of roses will be wafting into the house,..Welcome to GardenStew
Hi Green-Numb,..thanks for looking through the thread,..it goes back quite a bit,..ah so you are familiar with our Euro Robin,..how long ago was it since you seen one here,..enjoy yourself browsing through the thread.
