Delphiniums are almost in full bloom,..afterwards the side shoots will produce blooms,..i always like looking at the middle of the bloom as it does resemble a Bee,..you either have a White Bee or Black Bee.

Growing a new plant is always exciting,..in this case its a Chinese Lantern Flower although its not native to China but from Southeastern Europe and Japan.

Seeds take approx 25 days to germinate,..the plant grows to a height of 2 Ft,..berries and leaf are poisonous but this is a very attractive plant because of its blooms,..it will tolerate partial shade or light shade,..average soil.
Growing Chinese Lantern Flowers, How to Grow Chinese Lantern Seeds

This is the stage its grown to so fingers crossed it will grow to maturity and bloom.

Beautiful flowers, as always! I love the delphiniums with their bright colors and 'bees'. I have read that you can store geraniums like onions before but I've never met anyone that has actually done it. Since I do store my onions in my very dark cool basement, and they last from one harvest to the next (I haven't bought an onion since we moved here) I will have to try this with geraniums also.

2ofus,..thank you!,..i envy you with your supply of onions,..i used to have a Veg Garden and loved walking into the shed where i hung my onions,..lovely smell from dry hanging onions.

I was taught to either overwinter Geraniums in pots of soil,..but to keep the soil slightly moist,..it wasn't 100% successful,..or to shake the soil off and place them individually in paper bags then hang them up,..i didn't like this method either as i needed to see how they were getting over winter,..hanging up in plain sight with no soil proved the best method as they all survived.

    Just coming into bloom.

Thank's Jewell,..its the time to do things new that evades us,..however when someone presents us with a new plant we like,..time stops until we get that plant into a suitable location,..in quick time,..lol.

Campanula,..Lobelia and Sweet Alyssum would look great cascading down from your new raised bed and wall,..i look forward to seeing what you do in that area,..i am always amazed at what similar weather you have to me,..especially when i see the Moss and Ferns,..not forgetting those beautiful Hosta Plants you have.

Your roses are so pretty and the video was great. I will admit I enjoyed the shots of multiple roses as the colors of each seemed to enhance the colors of the ones near it. I like the dramatic color of the lily, orange with a touch of yellow and the dark centers. I grew Mallow one year and loved it...until hundreds of seedlings appeared the next year! I couldn't keep up with it so I eliminated it.
