Gosh, you used to live in a dream world in my opinion, but I can see you're creating a paradise where you live now. Thanks for sharing the beautiful countryside and the estate. I wish I could walk through it or somewhere like it some time.
Hi Droopy, i just happened to be lucky with living on that estate,i was the only one to be allowed shoot on the land, there were lots of game to keep the fridge full, plus we had a small river running through, and it had Brown Trout,i was tempted to stay there and was offered a very long lease, but i wanted my own house,so when the present one was available i made it mine.
The landscape's beautiful! And green. We really need to visit Ireland before too long. It's been on my wishlist for several years, ever since I read the story of Brian of Boruma. Ireland and Norway used to have tight connections.
Brian Boruma, gosh that name brings back memories!,apart from the history of the man and the battle of Clontarf,i lived in Glasnevin, close to Clontarf,my boarding school was next to a huge Pub/Bar name Brian Boru, overhead was a massive painting of Brian Boru and the battle of Clontarf. Yes Droopy a visit to Ireland would be a good idea,if you do come, then come to the midlands,i will be your guide on the lake and river, and some interesting places as well.(i guide for free, lol).
