Palm Tree: The old buildings will definately stay because there arelaws that prevent any alterations to the outsides of the old buildings. The really old ones from the 1500's and 1600's have all been made "monuments". So they are safe. Sherry8: chuckle--no the man narrating the film was not me. He is an english person. He has also done other narrations for things about our city. Wooden shoes are still worn, but nowadays mostly by older folks and farmers. I wore them for a while but eventually opted for more comfortable shoes. Lots of folks use them as flower pots or bird houses. That shop with Elvis is owned by a lady that has a lottie on ourt complex. They sell old and second-hand cd's and dvd's. She is featured on the page of "Garden Portraits" with her neighbour with whom she gardens on our complex. Netty: Very many of the roofs are covered with tiles. They are baked in kilns and usually have a certain shape. There are 100-and-1 uses for old roofing tiles here. I use them for different things in the gardens. Barb: hah hah hah... I do not dare show more fotos now, they take up alot of space. I do promise to show pics of various events here throughout the year though. Thank you folks for your very nice responses to the fotos. Also for the questions. Of course I am very proud of this town, but I am just thrilled to bits that you all enjoyed the fotos.

Very lovely city you live in. There's just something about older cities, there's a certain charm to them that the newer places don't really have. Thanks for sharing your pictures!
