Today there's another of my mom's "old" one's blooming... Double Kwanso. I've got it marked so I can transplant one of them back to my daylily bed for "safer keeping".

Were you able to have the farm identify the yellow and red daylily with the ruffled edges?

Jerry... He said he didn't have a clue and didn't think they had anything like it growing there.
So... as close as we could figure, it came from that batch of bulbs I got last year from either Lowes or Home Depot... more than likely... mis-labeled or packaged.
Or... as I told him.. maybe the Daylily Fairie paid me a visit? :-D

I already showed this one, but it was worthy of a second photo. This is Evening Enchantment... and it's 2nd & 3rd blooms are so much prettier than the first one I posted.

Last year I dug up a bunch of old orange day lilies. I think I saved my doubles, I hope! They are pretty cool aren't they? :p

And here's the Ice Carnival. I was hoping it would be "pure" white... but it has a yellowish tint. Oh well...
    I won't be throwing it away! :D

And the last of the recently purchased ones. Royal Glory. Hopefully the next bloom will be fuller. But I do love the color!

Beautiful daylilies Cheryl. Somehow I had missed this thread past the first page or two! I loved your comment about taking a tour when you return home from work to see what has started blooming. I can so relate.

You've got a lovely collection of daylilies! :D Thanks for sharing them.

I only have a few, since it seems they don't really like it here, and I think it's a good thing since I could easily be a daylily addict. They're so pretty and come in so many different colours and sizes.

Thanks Cayuga and Droopy! I really enjoy seeing them in the garden. This fall, I want to expand the bed so they will have room to multiply... plus I'd like to add in some more Asiatics and Orientals too.

Yep...I believe she's the same one. It's pinkish hue didn't come through on my photo. And I'm pretty sure the reason I picked this one was because of the green center.
It seems the "weaker" of all the daylilies... not much growth all year. It's only put on two buds... not sure if the first bloomed and I missed it or just didn't develop. I was thrilled to see the second bud actually blossom.
It gets mostly sun, but gets some shade during the mid to late part of the day....like the others, and I try not to let them get too thirsty.
Are these the same conditions as your's Jerry? Will I need to consider relocating her this spring? She is a pretty one!

Paris Lace is elegant. It looks like it could easily be a flower in a French bouquet.
