Hahaha...well I don't guess that she's ignoring us--that is one busy woman, you know. As for getting to see the doc--well, I can tell you that seeing the doc is a bit odd there--not like you are accustomed to there.
I have a couple of friends there in the UK (in fact one friend is there in Essex where she is)and when I hear how they are treated at hospitals, doctor's and dentist's offices I am a bit shocked. Just because you have something quite wrong with you is no guarantee that you will be seen apparently.
It makes me wonder if she was even able to see her doc. I sure hope so, because a foreigh body trapped in a joint space represents a distinct possibility for unfortunate results.
    Fingers crossed here.

No, no, I am here, fear not. I keep forgetting that I posted this thread in the gallery. Don't know why I did that! Couldn't get into the quacks on Friday, I knew I wouldn't, you never can, so I am to try again Monday morning. Mark thinks I should really go back to the hossy, so I will go to the quacks, speak to them, and take it from there. The swelling is down somewhat today but the knuckle is still tender and a little discoloured. And I still can't make a fist, and yes, my finger is still bent slightly at the knuckle. GGRR. I can't afford surgery, that is the thing, not that I would have to pay, but I would have to take time off work, and we are in a bit of a financial crisis here at the moment....anyhows, don't worry, I will keep you posted.

Great to hear from you Emm, thanks too for the update. I have to be honest and admit that disappointed a bit that there is no definative answer on that finger of yours...but as I said above, I know exactly how things go at the docs there.
I think that Mark has a really good idea to return to the hospital.
Oh well, I guess we'd better stop harping on about it all...you're a sensible woman and so ultimately you'll do the right things for you.
I really do hope that things will go ok for you and that knuckle.
Pretend that you're a cucumber and hang in there ;)
