    As Mart so emphatically suggested, we have gophers! Texas Parks and Wildlife guy took one look, said "gophers" and wanted to know what was for lunch.
    Mystery solved, and all of you who made suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    After this was posted and remember I have rarely paid attention to gopher mounds,, there was one at back where i had to sit and watch while the cats ate ! First night was just a regullar mound,, next day it had the same indentation as MG`s did ! Weird little creatures !
