Folks, I've been remiss in giving y'all an update. Husband's thumb is healing nicely, the new nail is growing in, and I am flabbergasted at how well the damage was repaired. In a few months when the new nail is complete, I doubt you'd know anything happened.
Mart, twice? I guess it's a good thing a made a note of all the great recipes and suggestions Stewies gave me.
Thank you all, and I sincerely appreciate your help.

Jane, I am so sorry to hear of this for both of you. I don't check here very often as I don't cook a whole lot during the summer. I am glad to hear he is doing better.

Carolyn, if you need some really great recipes for dishes with small bits and pieces, I have them!
Husband is doing fine, I'm recovering from the worry/anxiety/help! syndrome.
You never know how much you value someone until they have a bit of trouble.
