Need to prune the short cherry plant?

    I would cut the leading shoot so that it will branch out. If you want it shorter then I would cut it to 4 ft. It will take years for it to flower if it does, don't give it any more fertilizer.

    Hi, just an update to my cherry plant:
    It is now nearly 2 metre tall, still growing in a 20cm diameter pot.
    Should I repot it to a bigger and final pot? Or just one size up pot?
    I intend to keep it 2 - 2.5 metre tall maximum.

    I'd pot it up to the next size pot and only if the roots are coming out the bottom.
