Nest on my window sill (taken today)

    What a nice thread this is, Suzy.
    You must be having loads of fun with the nest in such a good place to observe.
    You have been able to post some very nice pics so far...keeps me on the edge of the chair waiting for the next one.

    Sorry to report, the nest has been abandoned, the eggs are still in it,not knowing exactly what to do about it for now?

    That's a shame. I guess you could incubate them yourself (but I've not idea how that would be done) and the other side of that is, maybe there was something wrong with the eggs...a mother knows. So sorry.

    If she sat tight on them for a few days,and they started developing and now they are cold, there is no hope for them. Most likely the parents didn't "get IT together". Maybe they are young adults. She may have sat on them and if she doesn't feel the eggs are the right weight or something she will leave them. Then they will be a good meal for someone. That's nature.

    I'm sorry too for I love to see their progress.
