Mart, if they lived in the mountains, then yes they could have snow but Denver fall & winter weather tends to be in the 50's and high 40's.

Is that due to the dryness of the air?

Oh! You mean the snow in the mountains? Why yes it must be although i hadn't thought of it. I guess the warmer moister air of Denver rising up the mountains, condensing, etc. I bet you are right Sj.

Remember your online name.....Simple Gardening!!!! Also, what would your grandmother have done to get a garden going? No internet to waste valuable gardening time on, just what her Mom or Grandmother taught her and plain common sense. Also do not rely on info from others who do not live in your area with the same growing conditions as you have. Example....I live in north Texas..nothing about our growing conditions resembles the growing conditions of a gardener in west Texas, south Texas or even Oklahoma just across the Red River north of me.
As Mart said in her post, do not overthink this.
Go Off Line, get out and play in the dirt...you will be healthier...mentally and physically and probably next summer you will be eating healthier...your overall health will have improved and you will not be nearly as mentally stressed as you are now.

We have that problem with many new members ! I think this couple came here to get us to go to their utube and blog rather than actually trying to learn from us ! Toni is right,, in Texas just across the street can be different growing conditions !

Monetization of YouTube channels isn't as easy as it sounds... You first need to have 1,000 subscribers, and that too within a time period of one year. Plus over 10,000 hours of viewing time on your channel - Otherwise YouTube will turn down the monetization request from you.

Eric and Fendi's channel is nowhere near that. Their last video uploaded 4 months ago, also has only 29 views I think.

And getting a real job during this coronavirus global pandemic? No, I don't think that's likely...
