I think you need to be firm with him. Staying in that chair is not an option. Perhaps Chance could be enlisted to help persuade him. My two have a nice outdoor area with a few amenities. They seem quite content guarding the tack room. Maybe your gnome needs a job. It may help his self esteem. Give him a hand up not a handout. muddy
It is quite cold and windy here today, so I hesitate to move him out as he seems quite old and might not take the weather well. By the way, he said his name is Frank. Quite a coincidence.
Do be sure to set a cup of hot cocoa with something bracing in it nearby. So he knows he's still welcome, just in his proper place.
We set him up with a hot cocoa with just a bit of brandy in it. Seems quite happy but Frank is all he will tell us.
As always, there is room for one more. Just like with the bears. Whether there will be any brandy left is another matter altogether. Dooley
Now you're really in for it. If you don't establish proper boundaries right from the start it makes the work so much more difficult later on. I'm firm but fair with my pair and they only get booze on holidays or as a special treat when Ron and I are having some. Be careful not to spoil them! I am speaking from experience. muddy
