Oh, that's awful Koszta! I can imagine how exhausting all that mowing with walk-behinds was. When we got our lawn tractor it quit dead after 9 hours of mowing (not all at once, but three different times amounting to about four weeks). Of course Home Depot doesn't guarantee anything with a motor for over 30 days, and we were on the 32nd. Like you, we contacted the manufacturer, who said they'd had a "problem" with the electrical system, and directed us to an "authorized repair shop". You should have seen us hiking that thing into the pick-up! We had tracks, but still, hauling and pushing and grunting (and a little swearing). The shop fixed it, and it's been running well ever since, but I still don't trust it. I say a little prayer every time I fire it up!
Thank you Marlingardener. I will file that in my want to have folder. And it mulch's to boot. Now that is definetly my kind of mower.
Watched Straight Story last night. It is about this guy who travelled interstate on a lawn mower and I wished I could get one for that kind of price. My mower of 30 plus year is showing sign of wanting to retire . Price of lawn mowers here is ridiculously high and I am referring to the push kind. Ride on mowers are extremely rare and are usually own by rich guys to show off! Maybe I might just have to use a sickle instead!
When I went into dealership. Owner came running at me. Guess Cub Cadet had called them-that I was mad. He waved had hand. Had customer in there-didn't want me to ruin a sale. Said "Charlie You got to stop going to BIG G-local grocery store." He got blank look at His face." trading your pop-cans in and making my mower blades out of them." This was 3 blade. Company had recall on them. Dh ran over some dirt-he had stomped down-mole hill.Hecame and picked it up
That's funny about the dealer not wanting you to make him lose a sale! I guess an unhappy customer is better than no customer at all? KK, when we moved here we had 7 acres of overgrown weeds in the pasture. Everyone told us you need to get sheep/goats/cattle/donkeys to "knock it down" which is the local expression for cutting weeds. We got a tow-behind shredder instead. Every once in a while I go out and pet the shredder, since I don't have sheep/goats/cattle/donkeys to make pets of. :'(
ROTFL ! ! At MG's comment; "Every once in a while I go out and pet the shredder, since I don't have sheep/goats/cattle/donkeys to make pets of." Hank
I had to buy a new mower this year and weedeater.I have to get my riding mower in to have it repaired as I love mowing with it.I can'tpush my other mower and my yard is a mess.
I got lucky this weekend. Granddaughter decided she wanted to learn how to mow. She's a quick learner, did a great job while I drank my ice tea. Of course it's a rider and she thinks she want to drive a car soon. We thought it was a good place to start driving.
