Only one? Better make it a 'walk-in' type then.

I presume that we will see pictures from time to time with the progress of 'the guy's farm?' There will be a lot of weeding going on. :)

    Cheryl,
Make sure they get an upright freezer. We bought an upright two years ago, and it has been a godsend!
A friend has a chest freezer, and it is so hard to locate anything in it, plus all the blood rushes to your head while you are suspended over it, digging for that last package of peas.

Yes Jerry... I'll make sure to post photos of their progress.
My boss gave me a bonus yesterday for all the extra stuff I did during our offices' move. Her words were "please accept this and go do something fun with it".
So... we stopped at the nursery and let hubby pick out stuff for the garden... and I of course picked up a few flowers for me.
Perhaps my idea of fun is different from hers! :D
And yes Jane... I hear you on the upright freezer. Those chest freezers are such a pain!
Crazy thing... a couple of years ago, we donated my Mom's upright freezer to a coworker's garage sale (she was going through some really tough times).
Oh well... I'll definitely aim them in the direction of an upright!

I would like to second what MG said about getting an upright freezer...It is indeed so much easier to find things in an upright one....of course your man and brother would miss out on the vision of you having lost your balance and fallen into the chest-type freezer.---your torso totally into the freezer with only your legs sticking straight up out of the thing...flailing the air franticly, as you try and negociate your way back up and out of that thing.

    Oh dear, Cheryl..... :D
It would make a priceless YouTube presentation.

Sjoerd... what in the world made you think that I'd be the one "freezer diving"??? :D
I'm totally committed to staying out of the way as much as possible... except when it's time to eat, of course! :snicker:

Well Cheryl, I don't know what got into me there...why I thought that it might be YOU that would be freezer diving. I have to be very careful with what I say now, don't I? :snicker: I think that my best option is to simply say nothing further on the subject. hahaha

Cheryl, do you think a pic of the whole garden would be possible?

A before and after sort of thing?

I'd really appreciate it if you can talk the guys into posing too?

    Cheers

Debbie... that's the entire garden. I'll go out and get some photos of it in growth.
My cousin isn't much into computers and Hubby absolutely hates them! That is except when he wants me to look something up or show is veggie photos! :-D

No... I meant the new section they were ripping up with the tractor. And the story sounds like a familiar one about the computer use.

Debbie... this is the entire garden. But they are already making plans to expand it next year.
    Here's a photo looking North.
(You'll have to excuse the scarecrow... he's getting a redo today!)

Very nice Cheryl. I wish I could find someone willing to work for for food, either in the house or in the garden.....just so I could keep up with all of it. I would even clean out the garage and let them sleep there. Now Kevin might think differently, but I could use the help. :D

    Cheryl,
I have a confession to make. When you first posted about the huge garden your cousin and husband had tilled and were planting, I thought, "Sure, and that'll be a weed patch by June." I'm sorry, contrite, and very, very wrong  .
Tell the gardeners they are doing wonderfully well, and that is a beautiful, productive garden.
    Get TWO upright freezers.
