    Hi Cheryl,
    the Hawthorn Berries surely are a sign of Fall.,..birds are feeding on them,..in particular Pigeons,..fattening up for Winter,..we have Blackberries still fit for picking and Sloe Berries from the Blackthorn as well,..the shots below were taken on today's walk.

    The first two chestnuts i opened were doubles,..then i noticed some of the reeds were double,..strange nature.

    Hi Donna,
    its one of those places i guarantee you would enjoy,..just to even walk around it,..it has an atmosphere all of its own,..you know you are walking on OLD ground,..and as you noticed there are constant reminders with old items from previous inhabitants.
