Tetters, that last sentence of your reaction is so very important for anyone to be aware of. Tja, insurance. That is one of those necessary evils in life. It also, is of great importance as we can now see. Rebuilding is a drawn-out process that is costly and tome consuming. The personal stress associated with this is nothing to be shrugged-off or to be treated in a macho way. I hope that she can get some care and help during this time. I am not sure how the NHS functions there. Fingers crossed.
This piece of news made me very sad. Wish I could be there to hold their hand or something. One feels so helpless in situations like this. I hope they both will be OK. May all good forces above, on, and below Earth be with them.
It is sad to hear of the fire and loss. With their medical conditions they will need a lot of prayers and support. Here is hoping they recover and remain in the community. Jerry
I am told that these folk have good insurance, and have secured a house in a nearby village to live in whilst all the procedures are put in place. Clearly this will not replace treasured possessions, but hopefully they can have new phones, documents and other crucial things. Much to do, but they have a host of willing helpers as well as the comfort of their family. It will take time.
