Gosh Droopy you are a talented, green-fingered gardener.

I also love orchids and I seem to be brown-fingered around them - fortunately I have an uncle who takes the "orchid lead" and I only assist. Your Zygopetalum is lovely - that colour is fantastic and so deep the purple. And the Phalaenopsis - lovely. :stew1:
I have never seen a cambria. I cannot wait for yours to bloom. Thanks for sharing your piccies. :stew2:

Those orchids are beautiful. Some day I will be brave enough to try some...First I will read up on them and find out which ones are the easiest...How long do they bloom? Do some bloom longer than others or one that blooms more often?

Thank you Palm Tree and Sherry8.

I think the easiest ones are the Phalaenopsis. You get them in a wide variety of colour, from pure white to dark red, and now even spotted ones.

The yellow never stopped blooming since we got it about four years ago. It's always sporting one flower, and suddenly a new branch shoots out and we get lots more.

The dark pink one starts somewhere in August and is normally still at it around Christmas. We've had that for three years.

I think most will bloom once a year, and not all are blooming for such a long period of time. I never ask why, I'm just thankful that they do.

Thank you for the name of one that blooms longer, I will keep my eye out for one when they start coming out around here. We have so many Christmas plants in the stores right now that the stores don't have room for many other types.

:D I know what you mean. If I could, I would have filled the window sill with them.
