    Impressive foto's, MG--The pond turned out quite nice, didn't it?
    I especially liked the chooks, though. What I wouldn't give to have a couple of my own.
    I hope that you will show more pics from time to time.

    Thanks Marlingardener :-D , I would jump on the next flight if I could get away from my respondsibilites and I don't think I can get a visa at my age for a working vacation :( Thanks again for your offer :D and if I know of anyone that wants to have a working vacation I will definately let you know.

    Thank you all for your kind comments. The chooks are black Australorps, and they are the sweetest hens--but not terribly bright, if you know what I mean. When they are free ranging they follow me around, and if I need to nip into the house for a moment, they try to come in, too!
    S-H, citrus trees are grown in Texas, but much to the south of us in the Rio Grande Valley. Here it gets too chilly for them to survive. We did plant two Bald Cypress for wildlife, and have several Ashe Junipers and black willows. I'd like to get more of the cypress started out there, but I think my husband might object to any more obstacles to mow around!
    I've found some more before/after photos and will post them soon. I love sharing our farm with y'all!

    What a wonderful piece of paradise you have! Lovely pond and I personally like the prairie feel of it all. Can't wait to see more pics ;)

    You've done well, and I'm green with envy. Imagine, a farm and a pond, and all that lovely space to play on! I love your compost bins too. :D
