A while before Brett retires or a while before Romo leaves the big city lights and women for small town mid-America?

Before Romo would want to leave his $67 million dollar payday

I think Jessica Simpson  is a fan of whoever or whatever will bring her 'fame' at any given moment. Not to mention her dad. And to think they are from Richardson, TX, not far from where I lived for many years.

Here's a good one for all of us Packer fans who are still in mourning...

    "God's Country"!

Announcer John Madden was in Dallas, Texas to announce a football game one weekend when he noticed a special telephone near the Cowboys' bench. He asked quarterback Tony Romo what it was used for and was told it was a hotline to God. John asked if he could use it. Tony replied, "Sure, but it will cost you $200". John scratched his head, then thought, what the heck, I could use some help picking games. He pulled out his wallet and paid $200. John's picks were perfect that week.

The next week, John was in New York, NY when he noticed that same kind of phone on the Giants bench. He asked what the telephone was for and quarterback Manning told him, "It's a hotline to God if you want to use it, it will cost you $500." Recalling the previous week, John pulled out his wallet and made the call. John's picks were perfect again that week.

Last weekend, John was in Green Bay, Wisconsin when he noticed the same kind of telephone by the Packers' bench. He asked Brett Favre "Is that the hotline to God?" Brett said, "Yes, and if you want to use it, it will cost you 50 cents." John looked incredulously at Brett and said, "Wait a second, I just paid $200 in Dallas and $500 in New York to use the same phone to God! Why do the Packers only charge 50 cents?"
Brett replied, "Because here in Wisconsin, it's a local call..."

    Welcome to God's Country.. . . . . . ..

    That's a good one!!

I don't think Madden is the "brightest color in the Crayon box". He didn't even realize he was in Wisconsin

That was an amazing game, and I must say had it not been for the surprise snowfall, the Seahawks would now be headed for the Superbowl, ahem...

Not so, critter!!! Although most of us still like Mike Holmgren here in Wisconsin, we were glad to see that the walrus just couldn't do it against the Packers. That was a fun game to watch in the blizzard conditions!!!

I haven't been able to get the mental image of Holmgren flopping around in the snow like a walrus out of my head since yesterday!!!!

Critter...all of us Wisconsinites always referred to Mike as "the walrus" when he was our coach. We thought he'd loose weight after moving away from all that Wisconsin cheese and beer, but instead it looks like he's put on a few more pounds!

Haagen Dasz and double tall macchiatos with extra whip will do that to a fella.
I'd heard the walrus reference before but always thought it was funny in light of exactly what you observed!
In deference to a fine gardener, I'll root for Green Bay this Sunday *bowing low* lol

I was able to listen to a lot of his press conference today. He really got choked up when he started talking about it. He sure was fun to watch, and I wish him well with whatever he does.
