    Nice bird photos. I've always wanted a pond with visiting ducks, but haven't really wanted the tame ones. The American robin looks a lot like one of our thrushes, but with a brighter red chest.

    Great pictures, the Robins have been hanging around here pretty much year round.

    The American Robin - Turdus migratorius, is a migratory songbird in the Thrush family.
    There are 7 subspecies in North America but the one in the picture is the most common one. From Canada to Mexico you can get pictures of 8 different birds that people call the American Robin and they will all be correct. Confusing isn't it?

    No, I haven't managed to photograph many birds. My camera is a compact one with a long reaction time, so I usually end up with tails or nothing when I try. :D
