I lost another cat over this weekend,.. 'Plain',..my oldest cat died from poisoning,..she was with me before i moved into the present house some,.. 12 years ago,..even as she was on her last legs she started to purr as i petted her.

'Plain',..i named her so because at one time she was the only Black and White cat i had,..so Plain Black and White.

I hope someone didn't poison her on purpose Philip. It's never easy losing a pet that you've had for many years but it's worse when they die in the way your Plain did.

Oh Philip I'm so sad to hear of what has happened. Let's hope your remaining cats stay healthy and you don't have to go through losing any more of your pets.

Thanks Eileen and Islandlife,..it really hits to the core when they die,..they both had different personalities but both around for a very long time to leave a big gap in the house.

I couldn't face posting about the cats since last November 23rd 2016,..because i really missed the two that died.

Dennis can be found in the same spot every year when the weather gets hot,..hanging out over the shed roof or when REALLY hot,..under the Hydrangeas.

Barb,.. there are just two backups left :),..of course the strays could suddenly appear,..at one time i had 16 cats :setf_024:

we have 3 cats left. I think when they are gone I miiiight get another outside exclusively cat. no litter box in the garage or basement... no coming in the garage at night time... just a food dish outside the door.

Great photographs Of Dennis and I hope Dennis doesn't do himself any damage falling off things when he's asleep. Maybe the roof isn't the best place to decide on having a nap but the hydrangeas are a 'cool' (sorry about the pun) place to catch forty winks.
