Hi Pat, that was a year ago,and i am still not over it,i became attached to some of them,or they attached themselves to me more like,as cats tend to do!,i had people paid to call to the house, feed and walk the dogs also feeds the cats morning and evening, then i began getting the text messages, one dead, then two, then they were finding dead cats and kittens all over the place,it was a new neighbor who didn't like cats!,left out doctored food for them. Hi Pat, sad to say there are people like that around, the cats were there for years before she moved in,and as soon as she did she voiced her dislike for them and not just mine. On one occasion i was missing a young cat it was usual to come indoors around dark, but no sign,i went to the end of my garden to call it and i heard it reply, but it was inside the neighbors shed, and the shed was locked,i rang her doorbell and told her i heard the cat in her shed, her reply was that the cat had wandered inside when her sister was getting logs, and it would not come out,i told her it would have come out but certainly not if it were locked inside without food or water,i collected the cat,she never spoke to me after that. "Ginger" and his mother "Plain" were the only two cats i had left and they became close pals. What lovely photos of Ginger and Plain, clearly very close. Can you not prosecute your evil neighbour Philip? I suppose it is a case of being able to prove it though?
Proving it was the problem!,but i let it be known that i knew the culprit, since then there were no problems. Plain always left her kittens to fend for themselves when they reached three months and never had anything to do with them thereafter, making friends with Ginger was a first, soon after a stray appeared on the scene, and of course Plain and him became outdoor friends, the usual happened, ,kittens!. "Scruffy",the stray. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) "Plain" ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) 3 Kittens. I am not really a cat perosn - give me doggies anytime, BUT I must say - your cats look lovely. I could hug them all day. Your Scruffy looks like MietiePietie (a cat around here)

Awe Lovely pics. It really softens the heart. Philip - the little cat only responds to that name. MietiePietie I do feed her from time to time when she decides to visit and tease my dogs. And true - all pets can grow onto a gardener!
Aww,pleased to read you feed it even though it teases your dogs!, . Some more fur babies for you. I'm a kitty-cat person... well, I'm a dog person too... these pictures really gave me a smile today. The neighbor's behavior was just awful to hear about. How can someone be so terrible? Well, she has to live with herself, I guess. I enjoyed your dog pics too.
When i have to browse through my "Pets Pictures File",..its always a shock to see the cats and kittens i lost over that woman. This kitten was born last week,..along with two others,..the mother just left them in my garden,..in the Cat House,..she abandoned them,..but they are on solids now,..a quick change to survive,..still hissing at me!!,..plus a scratched hand,..lol. Spitz. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden )
I can only imagine how it feels to be reminded of those cats that you lost, and of that woman's horrible meanness. Terrible. Oh.... poor little abandoned boy! He has a little attitude! You are lucky they went to solid food so fast! I raised two tiny kittens abandoned at birth once, back when I was in college. Lacey and Mel. Their mom was wild. She left them under the steps where I worked for the summer. They were just born when we found them -- little cords still attached. They didn't even look like kittens yet and both of them could fit in one hand. One of my roomates and I hand fed them until they were EIGHT weeks old. They just would not switch to solids no matter what. When they were 8 weeks old I took Lacey to my vet when we went back to school. She weighed 4 ounces! She was so tiny. She was feisty and kind of wild her whole life -- lived to be 19 years old. She was my first cat and never weighed more than 7 or 8 lbs. Mel was a little bigger and real sweet (Mellow, hence his name).
