Dirty nose does look a little cross-eyed... I'll bet he will grow out of it though. I hope the mama cat who just had kittens gets better soon, and Plain returns.

    Hi MaryAnn,
i was contemplating asking the question,..does anyone agree with me about Dirty Nose looking gunner eyed?,..i never came across a cat that was gunner eyed!.

This first picture below the cross eyes can be noticed,..but not so much in the second shot.

Well after the death of Clara,.. i thought i would be in for a break before the next pet died,..but not so!,..Clara's sister Sydney came staggering through the door next day and died within two hours,..then Spits,..died the same way the following day,..in Clara's case it was due to giving birth,..but with Sydney and Spitz,..something they ate!.

    Some of the other crew!.

What sad news Philip :( I am so sorry. Our stray mama cat, a pretty calico went missing about a month ago. I keep telling myself someone adopted her. :-?

Aww, Thats sad Philip. plain mean if someone intentionally poisoned them, but I sure hope not. Sometimes people put out poison for mice and rats and the cats could get a hold of them and ingest the poison that way. I am always worried to put out mouse bait for fear of accidentally killing our cats.

    Hi Deanna,
sorry to see your Calico has gone AWOL,..lets just presume she has decided on a change of diet!,..one of mine is missing,..the oldest one,.."Plain",..or as the locals named her,.."The Clerical Cat",.she hangs out with the local Clergy,..very appropriate as she is coloured black and white,..she tends to head off from home three months after she has had kittens,..leaves them to me,..but she will appear again.

    Hi Carolyn,
sad indeed,..a total loss of two cats and two kittens in one week,..sort of put me off my stride,..there was someone who laid out poison on one occasion,..i found this out and she moved house shortly after?,..then some ate garden bulbs,..what ever was coated on them killed some of the cats,..they brought some of the bulbs home!,..this time?,..who knows,..cats will chew on most anything.

Philip I'm so sorry to hear of the deaths of both Sydney and Spitz. Do any of your neighbours put out slug pellets? I don't want to even contemplate that someone could be deliberately poisoning your pets but there are some sadistic folks out there. I'm keeping everything crossed that the rest of your cats and kittens remain healthy.

    Hi Jacquelyn,
poor cat!,..i take it they know who threw it out a window!,..but pleased to hear the cat has recovered and ready to carry on the line.

    ------------------------------------------------------

    Hi Eileen,
my first lot of cats to be poisoned was when i was away on holiday,..in December,..i got a message saying they were lying in the snow dying,..that freaked me out,..i did find out who did the deed and they moved house!!.

The cats and kittens have eaten birds that made them sick,..but garden bulbs coated with some protective anti fungus coating killed a few of them as well,..this time,..apart from one with birth complications dying,..three died from causes unknown.

Philip, Hyacinth bulbs are coated with garden sulfur as a fungicide. It is possible that they ate someones new bulbs, but the old ones would not have that on there any more. Daffodil's, I do believe, are also poisonous. Anyone thinning could have left them out and available, not realizing the danger.

Sorry for your loss, though, and I hope you are feeling better.

Your other kitties are awfully cute, too.

    Hi Eileen,
i never answered your question about Slug Pellets!,..i think everyone in the area uses them so that's not a good sign kittens and cats chew things.

    ------------------------------------------------------
    Hi Carolyn,
i knew about the Daffodil Bulbs being poison as some of the Native American Indians carried them in case of capture by another tribe.

The Vet did tell me it was most likely a coating of "something" on the bulbs that did the deed,.. this time!,..as the cats took home the chewed bulbs.
