    Hi MaryAnn,
the amount of times i have spotted something amiss with the cats by looking at the pictures is untold,..but the picture above with the two siting on the Chicken Wire Frame,..i see one has an eye closed,..on checking just now i think it needs treatment,..hoping its not the start of Cat Flu,..i dread that illness.

    Hi Deanna,
its a terrible disease if not treated,..commonly knows as Cat Flu,..but also Feline Herpes,..its a respiratory disease,..runny nose,..difficult breathing, and the eyes get inflamed,..if not treated loss of sight is the result,..it can and has killed cats,..it happened to mine some years ago while i was abroad,..some cats did die before i got home and took them to the Vet,..but not all could be saved.

They say mocking is catching,..well its almost like that as just seven days ago i mentioned "cat flu",..and after being away from home for a few days i returned to find most of the cats sneezing and coughing and some with weeping eyes half closed.

So seeing i have 10 felines i didn't fancy trying to transport all 10 to the Vet,..nor the prospect of forking out 30 Euro per meow,..in particular seeing any that had cat flu in the past never made it back from the Vet.

I decided to purchase a Childrens Cough Medicine,..mix some with genuine cats milk and hope for the best,..its working,..very little sneezing and likewise with the coughing.

I had a tube of Fucithalmic eye drops,..a thick substance,..and applied it every few hours and up to about 0430hrs this morning,..and its working as well,..just one cat with a half closed eye,..and of course its not home,..on the prowl somewhere.

Soooooo its good news in the cat population,..for once.

I really put on my thinking cap,..how to stop a cat coughing?,..some type of lubrication for the throat seemed logical mixed with cat milk,..i was just lucky.
