I found a photo of our Helleborus "Blue Lady" from last year. She's still in bud out there this year.
I think she is, Eileen, but I wouldn't mind having one looking like yours either. That one's petals had such a charming, ruffled quality to them. This one's more - groomed?
I'm going to see if I can order your Helleborus online - either seeds or a plant as I'm salivating just thinking about having one in my garden.
@Sjoerd, you know I like the out-of-the-ordinary segment of garden plants. I'm hoping this will produce some seedlings with the same colour, but I have so many other Helleborus near by so I might not get another like this. Best of luck @eileen. Since I have it here in Norway your chances at finding it there should be very good. We're a backwater plantwise.
I'm afraid I'm not finding it anywhere here. I've tried everywhere I can and nowhere seems to have it. I'm not going to give up yet though as there has to be somewhere out there that sells this variety.
There are several varieties looking much the same but sold under different names, so I guess you'll have to put your patience pants on and dive in there.
Thanks! Oooft, methinks that's slightly too much trouble. I get what I get, and it might be some fun ones. I've helped a friend hand pollinate Rhododendron species. Next time she can do it herself.
